Grandview offers grand amenities for City of Madison

Neel-Schaffer provided civil site design and construction services for Phases I, II and III of the Forum at Grandview, a 380,000 square-foot retail center in Madison spread across 160 acres.

The center includes the Malco Grandview Theatre, a $15 million, 17-screen movie theatre that is the largest theatre in the Jackson Metro area. Among the other tenants are Miskelly Furniture, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Steinmart Apparel, HomeGoods, Best Buy Electronics, Petco, Michael’s, a Longhorn Steakhouse, the Corner Bakery, Firehouse Subs, and Menchie’s Frozen Yogart.

The total construction price for the first three phases was in excess of $30 million.

Neel-Schaffer handled all of the site work, permitting, subsurface drainage, utilities (water, sewer and electric), landscaping, and irrigation. Neel-Schaffer designed a 3,200-foot long, 12-foot-by-6-foot box culvert that was necessary to carry Cotton Hill Creek through the area underground, opening up approximately 40 additional acres for retail development.
