DALLAS, Texas (June 12, 2025) – Neel-Schaffer is pleased to announce that Scott Angus, PE, has joined the firm as a Senior Transportation Engineer based in the firm’s Dallas Office.
Scott has more than 20 years of experience in roadway design, working for government agencies and private consulting firms. He will provide transportation engineering design services for Neel-Schaffer as we continue to expand the services we offer to our existing local clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
“I am excited that Scott has joined Neel-Schaffer, adding depth and experience to our transportation design team in the Metroplex,” said Derek Cheatham, PE, Neel-Schaffer’s North Texas Area Manager. “Scott has worked on many large DOT transportation projects and has a wealth of knowledge and technical expertise in a wide variety of software packages used in roadway design.”
Scott has worked extensively with OpenRoads Designer (ORD), the primary software used by TxDOT for detailed design and plan development for roadways, drainage, and utilities.
“Scott’s hire aligns with our vision of growing the services we offer to TxDOT along with other DOTs across Neel-Schaffer’s nine-state footprint,” added Derek. “Also, his technical skills and demonstrated ability to train rising talent will be instrumental in facilitating the strategic growth we are seeking for our Metroplex offices and our clients.”
Scott is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas and California and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
