Bridge designer John Kime joins Neel-Schaffer in South Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C. (April, 6, 2017) – Neel-Schaffer, Inc., is pleased to announce that John Kime, PE, has joined the firm and will lead our South Carolina bridge design efforts, working out of the Columbia office, located at 1320 Main Street.

Kime has two decades of experience as a bridge designer, working for consultants in Florida and Texas before moving to the Palmetto State. His responsibilities for Neel-Schaffer will be coordination of all bridge design projects in South Carolina, and lending technical experience to Neel-Schaffer’s large team of bridge designers based in surrounding states.

He has extensive experience in a wide variety of structural design techniques and project management. He has been involved in new construction, reconstruction, bridge widenings, and multiple-span concrete girder, steel girder, and concrete beam designs. He has had extensive experience designing bridges to conform to AASHTO LRFD design standards.

Kime holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
