JACKSON, Miss. (May 30, 2024) –Neel-Schaffer is pleased to announce the appointment of Blake Kirby, PE, as a Roadway Design Engineer in its Jackson Office Transportation Group.
With nearly 12 years of experience, Blake brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Neel-Schaffer. His background includes six years with the Mississippi Department of Transportation, focusing on roadway design, pavement design, and design team leadership.
In addition to his work with MDOT, Blake has served as a consultant on projects for four other state DOTs, including as a designer on a major Design-Build project to expand and improve the Interstate 24/Interstate 75 interchange in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He has completed multiple projects that enhanced safety, efficiency, and connectivity for communities across the region.

Blake holds a BSCE from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Engineering Management from Arkansas State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
