Graham Legate, PE, DBIA
Senior Project Manager
Graham rejoined Neel-Schaffer in 2016 and has more than a decade of experience as a transportation design engineer, construction engineer, and project manager.
Based in the firm’s Jackson (MS) office, Graham is a Registered Professional Engineer in Mississippi, Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, and South Carolina.
In 2019, Graham received his DBIA certification from the Design Build Institute of America. According to the DBIA website, certification “provides the only measurable standard by which to judge one’s knowledge of Design-Build Done Right.” Since returning to Neel-Schaffer, Graham has worked on design-build projects in Louisiana, Georgia, and Tennessee.
Graham serves a vital role in a variety of large, complex projects where extensive coordination between a variety of disciplines is required. His unique ability to understand a project from the designer’s side as well as the contractor’s side creates an environment where both sides can effectively and efficiently work together to insure a successful project.
Graham has extensive training and knowledge in project CPM scheduling utilizing Primavera P6 and has completed project schedules in Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Georgia.
While working for a large regional construction company, his previous employer, Graham filled key roles on four complex interstate projects – two in Mississippi with MDOT on the widening of I-55 just south of Jackson, and two in Arkansas, where two bridges were replaced on I-40 with ArDOT.
In addition to being a licensed PE with DBIA certification, Graham holds certifications from MDOT for the following: Storm Water Pollution Prevention, Design and Operation of Work Zone Traffic Control, LPA Process, ADA Training, and Concrete Testing.
