Neel-Schaffer is seeking applications from qualified candidates for an experienced Senior Application Developer to join our growing engineering firm. This position can be based in our Birmingham, AL, office or other Neel-Schaffer offices across our nine-state footprint such as Nashville, TN, Atlanta, GA, Baton Rouge, LA, Columbia, SC, or Arlington, TX, to name a few.

The successful candidate will be a solution-oriented Senior .Net Developer who can architect solutions, manage cloud infrastructure, and drive technological innovation throughout the organization. This role combines full-stack development with Azure administration and Power Platform expertise.

Expertise and Responsibilities:

• Develops enterprise applications using latest .NET release.
• Architects and implements Microservices using modern design patterns and best practices.
• Develops complex stored procedures, functions, and queries for Azure SQL Database.
• Configures and maintains Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and Azure Portal artifacts and resources.
• .NET MAUI expertise for cross-platform mobile/desktop development
• Implements application performance monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Implements secure authentication and authorization for applications and APIs (OAuth, JWT).
• Designs solutions using Power Platform (i.e. PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate) software.
• Researchs and integrates emerging technologies into the organization as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with .NET development (C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET 10).
• Strong knowledge of Azure SQL Database administration and T-SQL development.
• Hands-on Azure DevOps experience (e.g. pipelines, repos, boards, etc.).
• Experience architecting solutions at a system/application level (microservices, service-oriented, or modular monolith architectures).
• Proficiency with Azure Functions and serverless application design.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and/or Log Analytics for application performance monitoring and diagnostics.
• Experience implementing OAuth and JWT-based authentication/authorization for secure applications and APIs
• Power Platform experience (PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate).
• Proficiency with Azure Portal configuration and resource management.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

Preferred skills

• Certification in Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with data warehousing tools such as Snowflake and ETL processes.
• .NET MAUI expertise for cross-platform mobile/desktop development
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as Deltek Vantage Point, Deltek Vision, or similar project management and financial software platforms, as well as HR/workforce management systems such as UKG.Docker/Kubernetes experience, preferred.
