Neel-Schaffer is accepting applications from qualified candidates for a Graduate Engineer – Water Resources to join our growing engineering firm. This position will be based in our Atlanta (GA) Office. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual looking for career growth and possessing good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
You will be a part of Neel-Schaffer’s Water Resources team, collaborating on diverse projects in Water Resources, Hydrology/Hydraulics, and MS4. Typical projects will include various types of drainage, flood control, bridge hydraulic studies/designs, bridge scour analyses, storm water management studies, and design/contract plans for flood control and storm water infrastructure projects.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related degree(s).
- Must have passed the Fundamental of Engineering (FE) exam.
- 1-3 years of experience with technical work in Water Resources / Hydrology / Hydraulics.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary with the ability to plan and conceptualize.
- Experience with HEC-RAS 1D/2D, SMS SRH2D, EPA-SWMM/PCSWMM 1D/2D, HEC-HMS, HydraFlow, HydroCAD, StormCAD, or equivalent programs is preferred.
- Experience with Bentley products (ORD, GEOPAK, InROADS, etc), AutoCAD, and/or ArcGIS is preferred.
- Ability to perform a limited amount of field work, including drainage investigations, topographic surveying, drainage asset inventorying, etc.
- Experience with technical report writing and working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.
