Neel-Schaffer is accepting applications from qualified candidates for a Graduate Engineer – Water Resources to join our growing engineering firm. This position will be based in our Atlanta (GA) Office. You will be part of Neel-Schaffer’s Water Resources team, collaborating on diverse projects in Water Resources, Hydrology/Hydraulics, and MS4. Typical projects will include various types of roadway design plans including drainage, bridge hydraulics, scour analysis, and stormwater management.

Typical projects will include various types of drainage, flood control, bridge hydraulic studies/designs, bridge scour analyses, storm water management studies, and design/contract plans for flood control and storm water infrastructure projects.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related degree(s).
- Must have taken or be planning to take the Fundamental of Engineering (FE) Exam.
- 0-3 years of experience with technical work in Drainage/Hydrology/Hydraulics.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary with the ability to plan and conceptualize.
- Experience with StormCAD, OpenRoads Designer, HEC-RAS, HY-8, and 2-D Modeling.
- Experience with HEC-HMS, ArcPro, PCSWMM, and experience with roadway design /plan production is preferred.
- Ability to perform a limited amount of field work, including drainage assessment/inventory, site investigation, general bridge/culvert documentation, etc.
- Experience with technical report writing and working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in the office at least three days per week in Atlanta.
