COLUMBIA, S.C. (October 31, 2022) – Neel-Schaffer, Inc., has hired Melanie Nguyen, PE, to serve as the Hydrology & Hydraulics Discipline Lead for the Carolinas and Georgia, further expanding the firm’s Water Resources depth and experience.

Based in Cary, North Carolina, Nguyen will provide H&H design and project management services for Neel-Schaffer’s clients across the Carolinas and Georgia.

Nguyen has more than 16 years of transportation project design and management experience, including eight years with the North Carolina Department of Transportation. She has diverse experience in hydrology and hydraulic design of roadway drainage, bridges and culverts, municipality drainage and construction, erosion control, and project management.

Nguyen is a Registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University.
