BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (December 7, 2021) – Neel-Schaffer, Inc., is pleased to announce that Buddy Covington has joined the firm and will serve as a Senior Environmental Manager.
Based in the firm’s Mobile, Alabama, office, Covington has more than 25 years of experience as an Environmental Manager, providing services for federal, state, municipal, industrial, and private clients. He has demonstrated his ability to complete complex environmental projects by leading the collaborative effort of environmental scientists, wetland scientists, ecologists, NEPA specialists, economists, cultural resources staff, planners, civil and environmental engineers, coastal engineers, and permitting specialists to deliver quality environmental services.
Covington has completed more than 75 NEPA documents and has extensive experience working with the departments of transportation in Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and Tennessee.
Covington also has a long history of working with Neel-Schaffer on projects.

Covington holds two degrees from the University of Alabama, a Bachelor of Science in Geology, and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science.
