Disaster Management Specialist


Kayla joined True North in 2020 after Hurricane Sally impacted her hometown and she now serves as a Disaster Management Specialist.

Recognized for her leadership and passion for service, she has responded to a number of storms, including major Hurricanes Ian, Idalia, Milton, and Helene. Kayla also has experience with wildfires, having served as an Area Leader for the 2020 LNU Lightening Complex and Glass wildfires in California. Through these projects, she has successfully completed complex scopes of work like Private Property Debris Removal (PPDR), Commercial Property Debris Removal (CPDR), demolition, derelict vessels, titled property, and waterway debris missions.

Kayla has a broad spectrum of expertise, from initial damage assessments to overseeing FEMA reimbursement package preparation. She has served integral roles for a range of clients, including cities, counties, and various state departments of transportation.  Her skills allow her to perform critical response tasks such as operations management, data management, QA/QC, haul contractor invoice reconciliation, equipment management, and hiring coordination.

Kayla has also taken a lead role in client management to address specific needs, challenges, and objectives.
