Craig joined Neel-Schaffer in 1991 and now serves as the firm’s East Region Manager, overseeing 10 offices across Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
Craig is an Executive Vice President and a member of the firm’s seven-person Board of Directors and has over 30 years of experience as an engineer and manager.
Based in the firm’s Nashville (TN) office, Craig is an ITE-certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer, and he holds PE registrations in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
Craig has been responsible for a wide variety of transportation projects, including environmental and planning studies, corridor studies, safety studies, parking studies and traffic circulation and operations studies. He has managed roadway design projects ranging from intersection improvements to interstate widening projects. He has designed hundreds of traffic signals and dozens of signal systems, including video surveillance systems and communications systems.
Craig has been active as a volunteer in the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and currently serves as the Southern District ITE District Administrator. In 2014, he received the “Herman Hoose Distinguished Service Award” from the Southern District of ITE.
