Bridge Practice Lead


Brian joined Neel-Schaffer in 2023 and serves as the firm’s Bridge Practice Lead, overseeing bridge design teams located across the company while working to expand bridge services we provide throughout our nine-state footprint.

Brian has more than 20 years of experience providing bridge design and project and departmental management experience. Throughout his career, he has consistently led efforts to secure major projects in competitive markets, driven by an innovative approach and readiness to embrace change, even when it meant exploring uncharted territory.

Early in his career, Brian played a key role as a design engineer on the iconic 5th Runway Bridge (10-28) at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport – a 9,000-foot runway spanning 10 lanes of Interstate 285. He has also managed and designed Automated People Mover and train projects at airports in Atlanta, Orlando, and Tampa.

Brian is a Registered Professional Structural Engineer in Georgia and Utah, and holds Professional Engineer licensing in Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Colorado, California, New Jersey, and Puerto Rico. He is also an FHWA-NHI Certified Bridge Inspector.
