Neel-Schaffer Welcomes Allen Shariett to Strengthen Growing Water Resources Practice in Atlanta

ATLANTA, Ga. (May 20, 2026) — Neel-Schaffer is pleased to announce that Allen Shariett, PE, has joined the firm as a Water Resources Senior Project Manager in the firm’s Atlanta office.

Throughout his career, Allen has supported a wide range of transportation, municipal, and federal projects across the Southeast. His experience includes work for agencies and clients such as GDOT, MDOT, FEMA, the Tennessee Valley Authority, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and numerous local governments, including the City of Atlanta and Gwinnett County.

Allen’s expertise spans bridge hydraulic studies, floodplain and flood risk analyses, FEMA mapping revisions, stormwater master planning, drainage design, and the development of post-construction stormwater best management practices to meet MS4 permit requirements.

In his new role, he will support the continued growth of Neel-Schaffer’s water resources capabilities in Georgia and across the Southeast, helping deliver resilient, technically sound infrastructure solutions for clients throughout the region.

Allen holds a Bachelor of Science in Biosystems Engineering from Auburn University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Additionally, he is a Certified Design Professional Level II through the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission.
