COLUMBIA, S.C. (October 3, 2024) –Neel-Schaffer is pleased to announce the addition of experienced water resources engineer Clayon McCathern, PE, PMP, to our staff in the new role of South Caroline Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) Lead.
Clayon brings 22 years of experience as a transportation consultant in the H&H field. He is based in our Columbia office, where he will support South Carolina clients and assist in expanding our H&H profile across the state and region.

He has been involved in some of the most prestigious projects in South Carolina over the last decade and will be a critical addition in supporting our H&H efforts on the Interstate 26 and Carolina Bays projects, as well as helping grow the H&H discipline for Neel-Schaffer in South Carolina.”
Clayon is a Registered Professional Engineer in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Missouri, and Nevada. He holds a BSCE from the University of South Carolina and is a certified Project Management Professional.
