Hannah Prater joins Neel-Schaffer as a Water Resources Project Manager

JACKSON, Miss. (March 4, 2024) – Hannah Prater, PE, has joined Neel-Schaffer as a Water Resources Project Manager, based in the firm’s Jackson office.

Hannah has nine years of experience, including one with the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT). Her background includes engineering design and management for projects involving urban and rural roadway drainage, bridge hydraulics, and scour evaluations. As a consultant, she has completed many projects for MDOT and worked for other state departments of transportation.

Her focus for Neel-Schaffer will be roadway drainage design.

“We are excited for Hannah to join our growing Mississippi Water Resources team,” said Sarah McEwen, PE, CFM, Neel-Schaffer’s Central Region Hydrology and Hydraulics Discipline Lead. “I know her background in roadway design and hydraulic modeling will be a great asset as we continue to provide more services to existing and new clients across the region.”

Hannah holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Science in Engineering from Mississippi State University.
