Dishili Young, Connie Standige earn prestigious WTS honors in Louisiana

JACKSON, Miss. (October 16, 2019) – Neel-Schaffer, Inc., is pleased to announce that two of its Louisiana-based engineers have been honored by the Women Transportation Seminar (WTS) for their contributions to transportation engineering.

  • Dishili Young, PE, was named Member of the Year for the WTS Louisiana Chapter and will be honored at the group’s annual banquet on November 14 in Baton Rouge. This award recognizes a WTS member who has made extraordinary contributions to the success of the organization.  Young has been nominated to serve on the WTS Louisiana Chapter Board as Treasurer for 2020.
  • Connie Standige, PE, was named Woman of the Year by the WTS New Orleans Chapter and received her award at a banquet on October 10. This award honors a woman who is an outstanding role model in transportation. In 2020, Standige will begin a two-year run as President of the NOLA Chapter.

Young joined Neel-Schaffer in 2017 and has 18 years of experience in transportation planning, engineering and management. Based in the firm’s Baton Rouge office, she manages the firm’s Louisiana Transportation and Civil Design groups.

Standige joined Neel-Schaffer in 2016 and has more than 35 years of experience, including 30 with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. Based in the New Orleans office, she provides business development services for Neel-Schaffer’s Southwest Region offices.
