Neel-Schaffer, Inc., is pleased to announce that Connie Lawrence Standige, PE, the former District 62 Engineer Administrator for the Louisiana Department of Transportation (La DOTD), has joined the firm and will work in the firm’s office in New Orleans.

Standige will concentrate on business development, particularly in Southeastern Louisiana, the greater New Orleans area, and with La DOTD.   She served La DOTD for over 30 years, holding positions such as District Engineer, Assistant Maintenance Engineer, and District Engineer Administrator.

“Connie brings a wealth of knowledge and an extensive professional network to Neel-Schaffer, having retired from La DOTD in 2012 following a successful 30-year career with the Department,” said Jerry Trumps, Neel-Schaffer’s Southwest Area Manager.  “During her tenure at La DOTD, she served as Assistant Secretary of Operations over all 64 parishes in Louisiana.”

Standige holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University.
