Neel-Schaffer hires Scheitz as planner in Louisville office

Neel-Schaffer is pleased to announce that Maria Scheitz has joined the firm as a community planner in the Louisville office.

Scheitz previously worked for the Louisville Metro Division of Planning and Design, the Boone County (Ky.) Planning Commission and the University of Cincinnati. She is experienced in land use planning, development review, land use code development, and GIS mapping and analysis.

“Maria will help us expand our operations in Louisville and the state,” said Karen Mohammadi, the engineering manager for Neel-Schaffer’s Louisville office. “She has a wealth of experience and knows so many people in the metro area that we expect her to hit the ground running and help attract new clients and projects.”

Scheitz will have a variety of duties, including marketing, data collection and analysis, and research and development of planned studies.

“I am happy to be a part of a company that encourages active community participation,” said Scheitz. “I am excited about the opportunity to aid Neel-Schaffer in extending the market presence of our Kentucky office by expanding our Municipal Engineering and Planning Services capabilities to regional businesses and municipalities.”
