ATLANTA, Ga. (July 6, 2026) — Neel-Schaffer is pleased to share that Eric Sloan, PE, has joined the firm as a Project Manager, bringing more than a decade of experience to the firm’s growing Alternative Delivery team.
Eric joins Neel-Schaffer after working in multiple roles over the last 10 years for the Tennessee Department of Transportation. Most recently, his title was Team Lead – Construction, a role that included supervising a seven-person team while overseeing multiple infrastructure projects that included resurfacing, maintenance, and large-scale construction and bridge work.
That experience will help facilitate a smooth transition into a similar role for Neel-Schaffer.
“Eric will support the delivery and management of transportation projects across the region, bringing deep expertise in alternative delivery and construction operations,” explained Phil Ravotti, PE, DBIA, Neel-Schaffer’s Alternative Delivery Practice Lead. “With over a decade of experience on multimillion-dollar infrastructure projects and aligning owners, contractors, and designers, he is a strong addition to our team and will provide great value to our staff and clients.”
Based in Neel-Schaffer’s Chattanooga, Tennessee, office, Eric has quickly transitioned into his new role, working on two Neel-Schaffer projects in Tennessee – a Design-Build to replace the overpass bridge and revamp interchange ramps at the Interstate 24/Epps Mill Road exit, and a Progressive Design-Build to reconstruct the James Robertson Parkway in downtown Nashville. His experience in Alternative Delivery will also support projects throughout Neel-Schaffer’s nine-state footprint.
Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Tennessee Technological University and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Tennessee.
