JACKSON, Miss. (February 3, 2022) – Neel-Schaffer, Inc., is pleased to announce that Jeff Altman, PE, has joined the firm and will serve as an Engineer Manager based in the Jackson office.
Altman is a former Acting Executive Director of the Mississippi Department of Transportation. When he retired from MDOT in January of this year he was serving as the Chief of Staff for Executive Director Brad White.
Altman has more than 23 years of experience, all with the MDOT. He held multiple management roles with the organization, including Assistant State LPA Engineer, State LPA Engineer, and Assistant Executive Director/Chief of Staff.
Altman will play a key role in helping identify opportunities for Neel-Schaffer to better serve our clients. His duties will include marketing current and new clients, management of contracts with MDOT, and determining potential funding sources.

Altman is a registered Professional Engineer in Mississippi and is a graduate of Mississippi State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
