BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (January 5, 2026) – Neel-Schaffer is excited to announce further expansion of the firm’s Aviation team with the addition of three Alabama-based employees.
Jeremy Green, PE, is a Senior Project Manager in Huntsville who adds exceptional airport design experience at commercial service and general aviation airports. Jake Campbell, PE, is a Project Manager in Birmingham who has led complex airside design and construction projects throughout the southeast. Josh Harkins joined the firm as an Engineering Technician in Birmingham, bringing dedicated airport drafting and design experience.

Jeremy Green, PE – Senior Program Manager, Huntsville, AL
Jeremy brings 18 years of aviation engineering experience across the Southeast, combining technical expertise with collaborative leadership. Licensed as a Professional Engineer in five states, he has successfully delivered projects at major airports including Nashville International, Birmingham-Shuttlesworth, and Huntsville International, as well as numerous airports of all sizes. Jeremy balances technical oversight with business development, strengthening relationships with existing clients while building new partnerships. His commitment to innovative problem-solving and continuous improvement helps clients achieve their vision while consistently delivering value throughout the project process. Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama.
Jake Campbell, PE – Project Manager, Birmingham, AL
Jake is a Project Manager with nearly a decade of experience delivering airfield design and construction projects across Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Florida, and Alabama. As a licensed Professional Engineer in Alabama and Tennessee, he has led engineering efforts and administrated construction to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and on schedule. From municipal airports like Tuskegee-Moton Field, regional airports like Auburn University, and large air-carrier airports like Birmingham-Shuttlesworth, Jake focuses on client experience and excellence to deliver results. He has led multidisciplinary developments for MRO Hangar Facilities, runway reconstruction designs, and taxiway rehabilitation projects with cutting edge asphalt technologies – all to deliver a high-end product for clients in a manner that minimizes impacts to airfield operations. Jake holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Engineering from Birmingham-Southern College and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Auburn University.
Josh Harkins – Engineering Technician, Birmingham, AL
After 15 years in management positions in the service industry, Josh made a career change to Civil Engineering. Josh is proficient in MicroStation Open Roads Designer and is actively involved in plan production for airport projects, Airport Layout Plans, and drafting needs of the aviation team.
