BATON ROUGE, La. (February 14, 2022) – Neel-Schaffer, Inc., is pleased to announce that Shawn Buell, PE, has joined the firm and will serve as a Water Resources Senior Project Manager in the Baton Rouge office.
Buell has 20 years of experience as a Water Resources Engineer and Project Manager.
As a Senior Project Manager and the discipline lead for three-dimensional computer civil design, Buell will manage key client projects, develop water resources engineering standards for improving quality, and facilitate a training program for Neel-Schaffer’s water resources engineering staff.
“We are extremely excited to have an engineer with Shawn’s credentials to be joining our team at Neel-Schaffer,” said Jeff Decoteau, PE, PMP, the firm’s Water Resources Engineering Manager. “It’s a bonus in that Shawn is a strong Project Manager who will also be leading our Water Resources market into the modern era of digitalization by integrating three-dimensional terrain models with complex real-world infrastructure.”
Buell holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and is a registered Professional Engineer in Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. Buell is also a stalwart trivia buff: In 2020 he was a One-Day Champion on the popular TV game Show Jeopardy!
