Wes joined Neel-Schaffer in 2025 and is committed to providing consistent, high-quality service to our clients as the Deputy Aviation Discipline Leader.
Over his 20-year career spanning the private and public sectors, he has built strong relationships with key officials across multiple funding agencies and developed unique skill sets to support and elevate our clients’ visions.
During his most recent two years with the Federal Aviation Administration, Wes served as a Technical Support Advisor to the Airport Safety and Standards Emerging Entrants Division in Washington, DC. In this role, he developed national policy and guidance to safely integrate new and emerging technologies and activities into the airport environment. This experience gave him valuable insight into the future of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), Autonomous Ground Service Vehicles (AGSV), Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), and commercial space-related activities at airports.
Wes helps clients navigate the regulatory uncertainties and challenges that often arise when introducing new entrants into the airport environment.
