Santosh joined Neel-Schaffer in 2011 and has 10 years of experience as a traffic engineer/transportation planner. His experience includes stage 0 feasibility studies, interchange justification/modification studies, roundabout feasibility studies, traffic impact studies, traffic simulation models, signal timing, local and regional travel demand models, corridor analysis, demographic forecasting and other traffic engineering related projects for both public and private developments.
Based in the firm’s Lafayette (LA) office, his responsibilities include data collection, development of conceptual designs, evaluation of improvement alternatives, field reviews, cost estimate, traffic engineering and crash data analysis, traffic signal re-timing, writing reports documenting study findings and recommendations and public involvement meetings.
Santosh has extensive experience in using Synchro/Sim Traffic, Highway Capacity Software (HCS), VISSIM, Tru-Traffic, AutoCAD, Microstation and SignCAD. Additionally, he has working knowledge of CORSIM and TransCAD.
