Ryan Waldron, PE
Ryan joined Neel-Schaffer in 2015 and has more than a decade of experience in coastal engineering, hydrodynamics/hydraulics, and sediment transport/morphology.
Based in the firm’s New Orleans (LA) office, Ryan is a registered PE in Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, and Texas. Prior to joining Neel-Schaffer, he gained extensive experience in Coastal Engineering, including master planning, design, analysis, modeling of hydrodynamics, hydraulics, and morphology.
He performed various large scale Coastal Engineering analyses and designs, including Shoreline Restoration, Marsh Creation, River Diversions, Shoreline Protection, and Hydrologic Restoration for various local, state, and federal clients. His hydrodynamic, hydraulic, morphologic, and hydrologic modeling experience encompasses use of such models and software platforms as Delft3D-Flow (including Morphology), Delft3D-Wave (SWAN), HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HEC-GeoRAS, HEC-FDA, WISE, SWMM, ArcGIS, Civil3D, SMS, & HEC-FDA.
Ryan’s education in the field of Coastal Engineering includes the degree of Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University and a Graduate Certificate in Coastal Engineering from the University of New Orleans. Additionally, he has earned certifications in Building with Nature, Scour at Highway Bridges, Stream Stability Factors and Concepts, Shallow Water Waves, and Nearshore Wave Modeling
