Greg joined Neel-Schaffer in 2019 and has nearly 30 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Project Manager and Land Surveyor.
Based in the firm’s DeSoto County (MS) office, Greg is a Registered Professional Engineer in Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee.
Greg has worked on a wide variety of projects, from Mississippi to Georgia, with specialized expertise in private sector and municipal projects. He has worked for engineering and surveying firms and owned his own firm in DeSoto County. He has gathered knowledge from projects ranging from mundane to very complex, from conception to occupancy.
He has been responsible for surveying and mapping of property, developing preliminary plans, developing specifications and cost estimates, managing resources, and managing projects.
Projects he has completed cover practically every category of site civil engineering, from commercial to industrial, residential, private, federal, and municipal. The lion’s share of the experience is in site plan development, with an emphasis on geometry, utilities, and hydraulics.
Greg has shown professional agility by working with the private sector, local, regional, and nationwide clients, municipalities, school systems, FEMA, FAA, EPA, and DHS. Greg has also worked with rural government staff, and mid-size municipal staff in areas such as Memphis, Nashville, and Atlanta. He designed commercial and industrial sites and he has also worked for private developers on residential projects ranging from a few lots to 1,000 lots. He has experience with regional and national developers, and he worked on the Mississippi Gulf Coast post-Katrina on residential developments to re-establish housing.
Greg is proficient in Civil 3D 2108, Hydroflow Hydrographs, Robotic Total Stations, and RTK GPS equipment.
