Ginger Hoke, PLA
Senior Project Manager
Ginger joined Neel-Schaffer in 2018 as a Senior Project Manager and has nearly 30 years of experience.
Based in the firm’s Sanford (FL) office, she specializes in multi-modal master planning, bicycle and pedestrian planning and design, community visioning, project identification, concept development, and grant writing. She provides a planning approach that is integrated with stakeholder and public outreach to develop buildable projects that will serve the public and promote economic development.
Ginger has extensive experience with bicycle and pedestrian master planning, trail design, connectivity, bicycle and pedestrian safety and Safe Routes to School projects. She has worked to increase awareness, safety, coordination and funding for facilities and programs that promote bicycling, walking and transit.
Ginger is recognized for her customized approach to each project. She works with stakeholders to develop concepts that meet multiple needs and uses project-specific strategies to communicate ideas and gain project support. Her recent work in Webster, FL, received the 2017 American Planning Association National Vernon Deines Merit Award for Outstanding Small Town Comprehensive Plan.
Ginger has a passion for historic home restoration and has renovated nine historic homes in central Florida. In 2017, she led the Sanford Holiday Tour of Homes, incorporating both the Downtown Historic District and Residential Historic District into the tour and attracting over 1,000 visitors to Sanford.
Ginger formerly owned and managed Hoke Design, Inc., providing trails, Safe Routes to School, and planning services for many Central Florida cities, counties, TPO/MPO agencies, and Regional Planning Councils.
