Dick Burleson, PE
Dick joined Neel-Schaffer in 2008 as a Vice President of the firm and has more than 30 years of experience in managing large transportation, engineering, and construction projects, as well as various structures, including NASA projects, oil refineries, and nuclear reactors throughout the South.
Based in the firm’s Birmingham (AL) office, Dick is a Civil Engineering graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, and the United States Army War College.
Dick has great experience in tackling large and demanding projects as he commanded 40,000 troops as a Major General in the US Army Reserve, ensuring successful missions worldwide. He and his units were personally decorated by General Colin Powell, and he became the 23rd American to receive the Audie Murphy Patriotism Award.
