Damon Torricelli, PE, CPESC, CPMSM
Damon joined Neel-Schaffer in 2015 and has nearly 30 years of experience providing a wide variety of engineering services.
Before joining Neel-Schaffer, he worked for the City of Biloxi (MS) Department of Public Works, where he was responsible for planning, organizing, directing, staffing, coordinating, reporting, budgeting, and evaluating the programs and activities of several divisions of the department.
Since joining Neel-Schaffer he has worked extensively with storm water management, with a focus on the $570 million Port of Gulfport Restoration project that is scheduled for completion in 2017. A a licensed Professional Engineer in Mississippi, Damon is also a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control, and a Certified Professional in Municipal Stormwater Management.
Prior to joining Neel-Schaffer, as Biloxi’s Acting City Engineer, Damon was responsible for the engineering division of Public Works, where he supervised engineers, engineering technicians, construction inspectors, and administrative personnel. He was responsible for preparation, review, and approval of all project design, including preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimates for all capital improvement programs prepared by in-house personnel and consultants; and for advertising and negotiating contracts with consultants for engineering design and studies.
