Engineer Intern – Transportation/Traffic Engineering


Neel-Schaffer, an ENR Top 250 Engineering Design firm, is seeking responses from qualified persons for the position of Engineer Intern to work in the firm’s Baton Rouge (LA) office, Traffic Division.

A 4-year degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in Transportation/Traffic Engineering, is required.

Typical projects for this position will include traffic impact studies, traffic operation studies, traffic simulation modeling, traffic signal design, traffic signal timing, roundabout studies, corridor studies, and safety studies.

A working knowledge of the latest traffic engineering and simulation programs, including HCS, Synchro, Vissim, and SIDRA are a plus. Additional experience using AutoCAD and Microstation is preferred. Must be a Registered Engineer Intern in Louisiana or have the ability to obtain Louisiana registration within six months.
