SoilTech Consultants recently added a new face to its lineup of professionals, Mike Biglane.
Biglane is the new project manager of the Long Beach Mississippi office and will be in charge of running the SoilTech operations on the Gulf Coast. He will provide support to our Neel-Schaffer offices along the gulf, while expanding SoilTech’s services within the region.
Currently, SoilTech has offices in Ridgeland and Port Bienville Mississippi. The new office is located in Long Beach Mississippi and is complete with a full lab for comprehensive materials testing.
With over 20 years of experience in materials testing, Biglane has worked on numerous projects throughout the area and is well known in the industry. “I know a lot of the people that work with Neel-Schaffer and SoilTech. I have worked with many of them before on previous projects, they are a great group and one of the reasons I came to work here.” said Biglane
Prior to joining SoilTech, Biglane worked with PSI, as branch manager of their Biloxi office. While there he was responsible with the management of construction materials testing and inspection services along the Gulf Coast.
“Mike is a great addition to the organization.” said Michael Volt, President of SoilTech Consultants, “His experience and knowledge in the gulf cost area will be beneficial to our clients in the region.”
“With so many projects like the earthen materials project out of Port Bienville and more possibly including the port expansion, it made sense to set up an office to further support these opportunities.” continued Volt
Biglane added, “One of the main reasons I wanted to come on board with Neel-Schaffer is their capabilities on different projects that I wanted to be apart of. I know there are a lot of opportunities out there that we can be apart of and that will keep us busy.”
Biglane graduated from Mississippi Sate in 1974, with a Bachelors of Science.
