In a year of uncertain economic woes and with the picture of recovery still vague, it was only the direct result of the hard work and dedication of our employees that Neel-Schaffer was yet again ranked among the Top 500 Design Firms in the country by Engineering News-Record (ENR). 

The Top 500 Design Firms list, which is published in April, ranks the 500 largest firms in the country based on design specific revenue made over the past year.  This year, Neel-Schaffer was ranked 201 out of 500 on the list, up from last years ranking of 241.

According to ENR, “The overall extent of the industry recession can be seen in this year’s ENR Top 500 Design Firms list, which saw 70.5% of the firms that also filed a survey last year reporting revenue declines in 2009. As a group, total design revenue for the Top 500 fell 11.7% to $80.02 billion in 2009 from $90.85 billion in 2008.”

These kinds of statistics are an unfortunately increasing trend in the industry. However, one that Neel-Schaffer has been able to avoid due to its diligent marketing efforts, strategic planning, and commitment to clients.

This ranking is one that everyone can be proud of, as each person contributes either directly or indirectly to the overall company success. That being said, Neel-Schaffer would like to congratulate all its employees, without whom this ranking would not have been possible.
