Jackson MS (March 3, 2010) - Neel-Schaffer is pleased to announce the recent hire of Karen Mohammadi, P.E., PTOE, AICP in keeping with its efforts to open a new office in Louisville, Kentucky. In her new role, Mohammadi will be responsible for introducing Neel-Schaffer to clients and developing new projects throughout the state.
Neel-Schaffer Inc., is a large multi-disciplined engineering and planning firm with over 400 professional employees located throughout the Southeastern and Southwestern United States. “Neel-Schaffer’s strategic vision includes expanding into new territory. By opening a new office in Louisville, Karen Mohammadi will be a key ingredient in helping us accomplish this goal,” said Joey Hudnall, Neel-Schaffer Chief Executive Operating Officer.
Prior to joining Neel-Schaffer, Mohammadi served as Department Manager for Gresham, Smith and Partners, overseeing staff and projects in transportation planning, traffic engineering, and roadway design in Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana. She has also served as project manager for HNTB and as an adjunct professor at the University of Louisville, teaching Traffic Engineering and Transportation Planning courses to undergraduate and graduate level students.
Mohammadi received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the University of Louisville. She is a registered professional engineer in both Kentucky and Indiana and holds certifications through the American Planning Association’s American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), Professional Traffic Operations Engineers (PTOE), and the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE).
