Chas Smithers of Neel-Schaffer, Inc. has passed the examination for licensing as a professional engineer in the state of Georgia. Mr. Smithers joined Neel-Schaffer’s Structural Division after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Mississippi and a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Smithers has over 3 years of structural design experience, which includes development of structural plans for commercial, recreational, institutional and housing buildings and structures.

Neel-Schaffer, Inc. is an engineering and planning firm with 30 offices located throughout the southern portion of the United States.
