LOUISVILLE, Ky. (February 3, 2017) – Neel-Schaffer, Inc., is pleased to announce that Jeff Moore, AICP, has joined the firm as a Transportation Planner based in the firm’s Kentucky office.
Moore retired in 2016 after a 31-year career with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, where he served in a variety of roles, most recently as a Transportation Planner for District 3 and Central Office Planning. Moore recently developed the State Long-Range Transportation Plan and the Public Participation Plan for the KYTC prior to his retirement from the Cabinet.
He has served on several committees for the Transportation Research Board and the Southern District Institute of Transportation Engineers. He is a regional representative for the Kentucky Chapter of the American Planning Association and a frequent trainer for the Chapter’s classes on Public Involvement and Environmental Justice.
“Jeff brings to Neel-Schaffer broad experience in community-driven transportation planning and is one of the industry leaders in developing public involvement programs,” said Karen Mohammadi, PE, the Engineer Manager for Neel-Schaffer’s Louisville office. “His career has been focused on making places better, safer, and more sustainable for all users and modes of transportation.”
Moore holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Western Kentucky University.
