JACKSON, Miss. (April 15, 2016) – Neel-Schaffer, Inc., is pleased to announce that Cori Gavin has re-joined the firm as an environmental scientist in the firm’s Biloxi (MS) office.

Gavin will manage environmental studies for wetlands, threatened and endangered species, and Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments. She will also be responsible for business development with federal, state, NGO, non-profit, and private entities.

After working for Neel-Schaffer from 2011-2014, Gavin worked for another consulting firm for two years, handling a variety of assignments, including estuary mapping, nature trail building, and construction of a living breakwater.

“Cori is a valuable addition to our team of professionals,” said Steve Twedt, Vice President for Neel-Schaffer’s South Mississippi operations. “She brings a wide range of skills and valuable experience in environmental science that will add value to the work product we provide our clients.”

“I am looking forward to supporting Neel-Schaffer with my increased knowledge and the strong relationships I have built to provide exceptional environmental services along the Gulf Coast and beyond,” said Gavin. “I hope clients see Neel-Schaffer as a company that is proficient in addressing any and every need, from planning and design environmental compliance, to construction oversight and project monitoring.”

Gavin holds a Bachelor of Biological Sciences with an emphasis on Environmental Biology from the University of Southern Mississippi.
